Loneliness Coping
It’s probably not too much of a risk to presume that a shortage of money is the most common difficulty people face, particularly where things stand now. In fact, there’s likely not a close second to lack of money when it comes to problems people have. But a separate issue from money that many people find quite problematic is loneliness. It may be almost unbelievable that a person could be lonely in a world where there are billions of other people. The modern society however sometimes requires or encourages people to move away from family and familiar places into unknown surroundings. One may also find that responsibilities such as work and other obligations can stop social connection from ever happening at all.
Regardless of what actually leads to one feeling lonely, once loneliness sets in it can have a profound impact. Looking over history and realizing that social isolation has been long used as a form of severe punishment gives insight into how painful isolation can be. The reality is people have always formed social bonds with one another. Social interaction is a part of the human make up. Going without much or any interpersonal contact has been linked to emotional difficulties and might also result in actual physical sickness.
If in fact loneliness is problematic for someone, how should it be dealt with? There are obvious plans of action but a less ordinary approach one might take is practicing ho’oponopono. Hooponopono is a method that originated on the Hawaiian Islands, where it’s been practiced for generations. Using ho’oponopono is quite simple, and the ho’oponopono technique is endorsed by a growing number of people.
A particularly intriguing aspect of ho’oponopono is its helpfulness across a wide range of difficulties. Loneliness is but one of the hurts that may be helped through practicing ho’oponopono: using ho’oponopono impacts the whole and is said to improve the entire life experience. While it may be true that ho’oponopono is not yet mainstream, there’s little doubt that interest in the ho’oponopono technique is growing rapidly. Additional information about the ho’oponopono method is found at God Help Me.
